Hello everyone!
This is the official development & feedback thread for our medieval multiplayer warfare game project.
This untitled project is our next game to be released, the story and lore of the game is still in development.
Read Graphical Design and Combat for more information.

What to expect:
-Deep dark story
-Inspiration from Dark Souls, Slendytubbies & Zelda:BOTW
-Multiplayer objective based game modes (ie. Sieges)
-Last team standing game mode
-Character customization & classes
-Leveling up & ranking system
-Stats system (different species have different benefits)
-Multiple play-styles (swords, axes, pikes, hammers, crossbows.etc)
-Unlockable weapons and armor
-Abilities (AoE, Buffs.etc)
-Decapitation
-Windows, Mac, Android & iOS

Story & Lore:
WIP.

Graphical Design:
The character design of this game is humanoid-animals.  
Players will be able create their own characters with multiple animals to choose from.
Each animal has their own benefits & abilities, for example; A rhino will be stronger but slower, A fox will be faster but weaker.
Graphically we're aiming for toon/realism art-styles, this will allow us to port games to mobile devices & will allow others with older computers be able to play the game.

Combat:
The combat is similar to dark souls, with rolling, blocking, medium & heavy attacks.
The game will have many weapon types, such as; Swords, shields, spears, pikes, axes, hammers bows and crossbows.etc.
Additionally their will also be unlockable abilities such as AoE attacks, buffs, healing.etc.

Public alpha testing:
From time to time we need volunteers to help test the game with us to improve gameplay & fix bugs.
When the current state of the game needs tested I send a message to everyone on the discord group chat notifying them that we need players to join.  You do not need to download the game to test it, alpha tests are currently played through a web player.  
Please note that when you play the alpha tests you'll encounter many glitches and bugs, it is an early alpha test after all.

Looks pretty amazing so far, will there be swimming in future updates? And from what I played the combat was pretty fun, a windows release with changeable graphics should reduce lag for me as well, overall I'm really exited to see where this will go Sean!

Thank you Quote.  Swimming is not currently planned but I'm considering it as a special ability you can equip as well as climbing. Smile

So far i think the combat is great, with each weapon feeling unique in its own way.
The sword and shield is a light weapon that does small damage, but attacks fast
The 2-handed sword is a much heavier sword that deals more damage
And the spear has the most range.

While these weapons are great, i do have a few suggestions for other weapons that you could add.
One idea is a bow or crossbow that you can shoot with. It would have very high damage suffer from a long reload time
Another idea i have is an axe, which would be a mix between the sword and shield and the 2-handed sword, dealing more DMG than the sword and shield, but also attacking slower.

Also i think that the knockback you take when getting hit by a heavy attack while blocking is a bit to far, and the time is takes you to get back up should also be decreased.
and also i think that instead of the middle-mouse button doing some sort of special attack, it should make you stab with your weapon for more range.

For the most part, the rolling works but after jumping and landing back on the ground, the roll will stop working for a few seconds, which can mess you up in the middle of a fight
One huge glitch that happens way to often is when 2 people end up killing each other at the same time, which i think defiantly needs to be fixed.
Another huge one is being able to go anywhere on the map as long as you spam the spacebar while on the edge of the map.
Probably not that big of a glitch, but when you run backwards, you actually go faster than you would if you were running forwards.

Ill probably update this post when i find more things to talk about here.

Thank you for your detailed feedback of the early alpha build FL4P!
Crossbow and bow are both planned to be added.
The crossbow will deal more damage but would take longer to reload, the bow will deal less damage but will be quicker to reload.
The battle Axe mechanics are still in the works, it should have a similar outcome to what you suggested.
Battle hammers on the other hand will probably be the slowest weapons but they will deal the most damage.
Thank you for also submitting the bugs, they'll all be fixed.

I'll be sure to make a change log which will be regularly updated, hope to see you in future tests!
