Oh I'm glad this whole series is somehow still alive, but ugh I have some conflicting thoughts...I keep seeing mostly OG fans that discovered ST through the very first game and I can't really say I ''joined'' the community/fandom up to now.

I discovered ST in probably like 2016-2017 when people were pretty much active in posting content (cool animations/fanarts, gameplays, memes, etc.), and as a kid I was like OMG this is so weird but so unique at the same time...I fell in love with this crap?

But, I didn't have access to a computer (so no chance of me playing literally any of the main games), and the only thing I had was ST2D on my little crappy phone.
Sooo I was basically admiring anything ST related from a big distance.

Now I kinda feel stupid, cuz I feel like a newbie?? Idk?? C'mon I was a kindergartner when the first game came out this is so stupid!! I kinda feel awkward to join or host a server in ST3 and I literally don't have a logical reason to feel this way (or I'm just an asocial piece of sh)

Oof I'm sorry for this angry yap, it's just that ONLY NOW I am starting to lightly interact with other people and in simple words, I'm shy about the fact I'm not a 25+ years old OG dedicated fan or something like that.

I'm curious if anyone has had similar thoughts? Or if you actually don't care about whenever someone's new or an older fan.

I mean to be honest, I've played the game/watched videos since maybe 2018-2019 (I'm not so sure tbh) and I was never really an OG considering I got into it after ST3s release, but if you've always found it interesting then of course you've been a part of the community.

When I was little all I had to access was my dads old laptop (which I broke) and my grandma's old office computer that ran the games at a good 30-40 fps on a good day.

Don't be shy about being "new", most of the fandom nowadays are people who were only recently introduced to the game/fandom through the multiplayer revamp, Roblox, youtubers playing the game again (such as Flamingo). When I was new to the fandom I was afraid to join or host anything in-game or even speak on the forum, but honestly this community has many people who feel the same way and are often very nice to talk to! It's worth a try, although some people are going to be rude (as you will get in all communities/fandoms), there will always be a good part of this community you will find, and I hope that you find those people to speak with.
