Will STGC support local LAN multiplayer after release?
Servers have inherent limitations on connection distances, causing users in certain regions to experience high latency when connecting to servers. Sometimes, you just want to play with friends for a bit.

Probably no, but its only in alpha. So it "might" be here in future at some point.
