Are the servers for ST3 multiplayer up yet?

I loved playing survival on multiplayer, and it was fun to do with friends and random people, and I want to know if they will come back up.

You can use mods to get access to the servers.

where can I find legit mods for this? I dont want to get bombarded with viruses lol
